This 1950s Train Carriage was built as a wheat carrier. It was bought at the Midland rail storage yard almost 30 years ago and was moved to our farmlet in the foothills as an extra bedroom, later becoming an Art Studio and Music Practice Room.
In 1998 it was craned into its rightful home in Fremantle, where it became a mosaic studio and learning centre. The essence of a decade of mosaic creativity will be evident to all who come to stay.
The Carriage has been slowly renovated by us to the quirky little studio accommodation that it is today.
Many hours of work and Mosaic creativity has resulted in its colourful style….. Influenced by Gaudi and Hundertwasser.
The Mosaic Carriage is tucked quietly away from the "buzz" of South Terrace--- 200 metres from the beach and 1.5kms to CBD. Mosaic Carriage features a double bed, TV/DVD,air conditioning, new bathroom, self -catering facilities, with private courtyard and private entrance.
